David Belgrave’s video capture of the Elementary Penguins, Plus Meetles, in Central Park, performing the Beatles’ wonderful son, “Dear Prudence.”

Elementary-Penguins in Beatles Mode

Here’s a video capture from Central Park a few weeks back.

Elementary Penguins in the Park, July, 2011

A very nice fellow named E. Judin took some photos of one the band recently and graciously gave us permission to upload them to elementary-penguins.com.

New Single, “Look of Love,” By Elementary Penguins Member Steve Baldwin to Be Released September 1

The Look of Love, performed by Steve BaldwinJust a heads up: Elementary-Penguins member Steve Baldwin has a new single coming out on September 1st, and you can pick it up at Amazon.com. Steve covered an oldie written by Ellie Greenwich and Barry Mann titled “The Look of Love,” originally made a hit in late 1964 by the great Leslie Gore. (Note: the single cover photo of two wild Quaker Parrots (AKA Monk Parakeets) in love, was shot by Steve up in the Bronx a couple of years ago.)

Click here to hear a quick sample from Steve’s single and, if you like it, download it. This song is also available on Apple’s iTunes music service.

Out in the Park on Saturday

E-P was proud to be joined by musicians Bill and Alec on Saturday. Most of the show was not recorded, so this cell-phone camera fragment must suffice to memorialize this fun afternoon.

Behold the power of the Internet. I’d actually like to learn this version of “Band on the Run” and perform it live!
